 Import the media which you want to use. Drag and drop it on timeline. Right click on audio on timeline. Click on detach Import the new audio file. Click on detached audio on timeline and hit delete key on keyboard to delete it. Now drag and drop the audio file on audio track Play the video to check it. To split the audio track right click on the audio track where you want to split it and click on split. Select the part of audio which you want to delete and hit delete key. You can add fade in and out effect to audio track.
